Some collaborations work. Some collaborations can do better. Some collaborations are so good, you never knew you needed it until it happens.
That’s what I feel about the Dreis Van Noten Spring 2020 collection which he worked with Christian Lacroix.
Vogue says about the show “Call it maximalist, eccentric escapism meeting pragmatic, purist minimalism.” Call it everything. I couldn’t help but text a few of my friends in fashion “It was sooo good!!!” complete with the extra o’s and exclamation points.
I love how simple oversized floral sweaters were paired with polka dot skirts with the right flair. A full tiger print dress just screamed party.
Color blocking ensembles of red and yellow followed black and white pieces for the chic woman.
It’s an exciting collection that doesn’t just bank on the fanfare. It’s all about the expertise and artistry between these two designers.
I can’t wait to see how this runway show will influence how we dress in the days to come.
