Seeking quality entertainment and information on Instagram. Follow Phillip Lim. His Instagram Stories are active with his thoughts on xenophobia, the fashion industry, and cooking hacks. This guy is doing some good while on self-isolation.
Lim is the co-founder and creative director of 3.1 Phillip Lim. It’s a contemporary brand with stores across the United States and carried on online luxury destinations Farfecth and Net-A-Porter.
The brand is a regular must-watch during New York Fashion Week. In 2018, 3.1 Phillip Lim launched a capsule collection with Fila.
Lim admits he is no chef but that didn’t stop him from putting out ‘More Than Our Bellies,’ a cookbook featuring photos by Vidal Sassen. The book serves as a personal diary that pays tribute to Lim’s Thai and Chinese roots with dishes that are yummy and filled with Phillip’s growth.
The book is currently sold out online.
Lim shares his step-by-step process for cooking his meals for the day. Some are from his book, others are created on the spot. If you’re a fan of Asian cuisine, you’re going to love how he talks about the beauty of cooking in a wok and other tips.
Added to this, Lim’s content also extends to Instagram Live conversations with fellow creatives. He shares here their expert advice from their respective feeds. One time, he went live with fellow designer Prabal Gurung.
Awkward pauses are bound to happen. But it makes the candid feel more genuine. In terms of parasocial relationships, this is one that is worth keeping by turning on your notifications.
