Among the many, many celebrity-owned beauty brands out there, I’m having a moment with Kora Organics. I feel this is label is a stand-out–the brainchild of model Miranda Kerr, who created the brand in her homeland Australia.
Kora Organics approach to beauty is all abut organic beauty. Every product has two key aspects: Noni Fruit extract and rose quartz.
Noni Fruit “ is a superfood used for healing the body both inside & out.” It is in every product they have, and Kerr swear by it over and over, especially as it is blended with other good ingredients such as jojoba oil, aloe vera, essential fatty acids, herbal extracts, essential oils, plus Vitamins A, C, and E in their cleansers, masks, and moisturizers.
At Kora Organics, they charge every product with rose quartz. On their website, they talk about how it is “a crystal believed to carry a soothing energy to encourage love and acceptance of ourselves & others.”
Kerr is reportedly a big fan of the crystal. She has one that she carries in her bag always, one that she holds during meditation, and one which she keeps underneath her pillow. Mind you, Kerr did this before crystals became the beauty trend that it is now as the brand launched in 2009.
Taking that organic mantra to the next level, Kora is also certified by COSMOS. This global certifying agency makes sure you following strict guidelines in creating organic products. Kora Organics produces beauty items which do not have sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colors, T.E.A., D.E.A., glycols, silicones, PEGs. They are also Ethoxylate and Formaldehyde free. They are also cruelty-free and vegan
They also often source environmentally-friendly materials for their packaging.
When I was in Australia earlier this year, I picked up the Noni Lip Tint as part of my haul from the trip. I’ve been using it ever since and I highly recommend it. The lip tint contains beetroot juice that treats, nourishes and deeply conditions. It also has certified organic Noni and licorice root, cocoa seed, and cupuacu butter for hydration. The red tint which goes on sheer is also the reason why this can be used as a blush for that natural look.
Other picks from the brand which Kerr even used on her wedding day are the Balancing Rose Mist. She uses it after cleansing. You can also use it as a makeup setting spray or to just refresh you on a hot day. It contains rose flower water, geranium oil, hibiscus, and Noni extracts.
If you want to truly dive into Kora’s fascination over Noni Fruit, try the Noni Glow Face Oil. It uses organic Noni extract, rosehip oil, pomegranate oil and sea buckthorn oil that smoothens and nourishes the skin. It’s advised to be used day and night as a healing treatment for the skin.
You can tell how Kora Organics has a holistic approach to skincare. They carry the Body Exfoliator. The gel-based product has bamboo stem extract and diatomaceous earth to slough away dead skin cells. Aloe vera is used to calm the skin.
Since you have a full routine for your face, it makes sense to have some steps when taking care of the rest of our skin. It’s important to exfoliate as you need a clean surface before you can apply other products. Otherwise, how can your skin absorb your chosen oils and lotions?
You can build a body routine with their Essential Body Wash, Enriched Body Lotion, and Sun-Kissed Glow Body Oil. All of which are blended with essential oils for you to achieve healthy skin.
Kora Organics also has the Heart Chakra Aromatherapy Oil. You can use this as an alternative to perfume but the aromatic essence, that claims to be Kerr’s personal blend from supercharged oils is made to “invoke, nurture and empower the energies of your Heart Chakra.”
On my next trip to Australia, you can tell I’m looking forward to stocking up on Kora Organics. I would advise that if you’re also going Down Under to stop by Mecca Cosmetica. They have a curated selection of brands, including Kora Organics, that might open you up to other labels you may not even have heard of.
You can also pick up your Kora fix from Sephora.ph.
