After getting postponed from its usual schedule of the first Monday in May, the MET Gala is now here. Barely a breather between NYFW and LFW, the event is serving up looks and perspectives on fashion the only way it can.
This year’s theme is a celebration of the United States with “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” On this, Vogue notes that the guests “embody the theme of American style, whether through flashy, star-spangled ensembles, or more discreet nods to Americana motifs. “
