2020 challenged us to really take a look at what we’re doing and what we’re made of.
It’s the year fashion had no choice but to adapt quickly to the digital world with tricks and gimmicks. Versace saw a rebirth, Stella McCartney projected life after the pandemic, Chanel showed up with recognition to its Hollywood influence.
Gareth Pugh, the British designer that took a break from the industry two years ago, saw 2020 as the perfect time to make a comeback.
He’s here with a documentary with husband Carson McColl and visual genius Nick Knight.
Business of Fashion says Pugh’s return is just in tune with his creative mantra. The podcast touts Pugh as an “innovator”–the type of person who just knows what to do in the middle of today’s crazy climate.
In this latest podcast episode with the fashion publication, Pugh talks about how fashion is ripe with promise, especially for young designers, the making of “The Reconstruction”, and what’s fashion will be like now he’s back.
